This work, written in 2008, is in three parts with part one: a setting of Shakespeare's Sonnet #17 scored for vibraphone and harp (delicately beautiful) with a female reciter, part two: a violin solo in the form of a sonnet, part three: a setting of Sonnet #29 scored for timpani and piano (darkly violent) with a male reciter. In the settings the poems are as a precious jewel encased within a dense music.
